Michael H. Jones

Mike’s practice focuses on defending professionals, employment litigation, and general civil litigation. Prior to joining Lindsay Hart, Mike worked for a local mid-size firm defending Oregon employers, insurers, and claim administrators in workers’ compensation matters, as well as advising on risk management issues, strategy, and regulatory compliance.

Mike received his undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of Florida and graduated cum laude from Willamette University College of Law. While in law school, Mike served as Managing Editor of the Willamette Law Review, clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice Civil Enforcement Division, and mentored first-year law students in legal research and writing.

Originally from the humid flatlands of Florida, the lure of the mountains brought Mike to Oregon more than a decade ago. Mike and his family ultimately put down roots in Southeast Portland, where they enjoy the easy biking and local food scene. When not practicing law, you can find Mike up in the mountains riding the trails, backpacking, or casting a fly to wild trout.
