Professor Dr Reinhard Pöllath is a founding partner of P+P Pöllath + Partners. He specialises in corporate acquisitions, business successions, private asset management, funds, financial products, tax planning, foundations, trusts, and pro bono activities. He is ranked among the "Best of the Best" in all his practice areas.
Reinhard studied in Germany and the USA (LLM, Harvard, 1974), and was a partner and counsel of law firms and various companies, including executive director/adviser of a real estate and hotel group as well as the CEO of a large consumer goods company. He serves as chair, committee chair, or member of the board of several public and private companies; he is also an honorary professor at the University of Muenster.
Reinhard is the founder and chair of foundations for third world aid, Micro Loans (www.up-micro-loans.org); human rights; Chinese language and culture (www.konfuzius-muenchen.de, www.ex-oriente.org); fundraising for a large scientific institution, the Max-Plank-Gesellschaft (www.maxplanckfoundation.org); and social entrepreneurship.
