Kent Owen

Kent focuses on insurance law and its application in the Australian Capital Territory, particularly in the CTP, liability and professional indemnity space. He also advises ACT private sector employers, and all tiers of government, on employment issues.

What he does

Kent spent the first 13 years of his career working in an engineering role. He is skilled in determining the cause of systemic failure leading to claims, including catastrophic and fraud claims. He is known for his work in accident and crash reconstruction and destruction testing, and the briefing of engineering and related experts.

Kent advises employers on the management of employees who are unable to return to work, how to manage bullying claims and the interaction between work-related and employment law. He also defends employers in work health and safety prosecutions.
