Carl E. Westmoreland, Jr.

Carl Westmoreland is a partner in the Real Estate, Real Estate Development & Finance, and Zoning & Land Use practices. Zoning & Land use cases in Atlanta have included the Atlantic Station redevelopment, additions to the Turner Broadcasting complex, the Terminus development, redevelopment of the Buckhead Village area, and non-profit expansions, including The Westminster Schools, Pace Academy and Canterbury Court. Carl was instrumental in the development of Ravinia, Concourse, Northpark Town Center and The Mall of Georgia.

Carl has served on an Urban Land Institute committee, which addressed affordable housing issues, and on the Peachtree Corridor Task Force, which proposed redevelopment and transit options for the city's iconic Peachtree Street. Carl has spoken on land use issues before several groups including, Emory University Law School, Georgia State Law Schools, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Previously, he is was a past President of the Capital City Club, co-founded the Big Head Society, which raises funds for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and a past senior warden of the Cathedral of St. Philip. He currently serves on the board of the Tophat Soccer Club.
