"From small contract disputes to bet-the-company cases, we are prepared to handle any business dispute."

“I truly have had a challenging but extremely interesting career, from representing billionaires, large companies to start-ups, and individuals struggling to survive. I take no client for granted. I did not come from a silk stocking or blue-blood background, far from it. My grandfather, an Irish Immigrant escaping British rule and the early 20th century troubles in Ireland, became a prominent union leader in New York City, and my father put himself through college after the United States Marine Corps. Like my father, I went to work early with a newspaper route and lawn mowing service. I worked my way through high school, college, and law school, largely covering the cost of same. My sisters, brothers, and I were taught to earn what we get and treat others regardless of their station in life with respect. We were fortunate that our parents placed a great value on education and starting with a Jesuit Preparatory education, my siblings and I have prospered from a strong foundation.”

Brophy has been selected multiple times for inclusion in Princeton Global Networks’ Top 100 Lawyers in America, The Best Lawyers in America© in Commercial Litigation from 2013 to 2020, and America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators. He has been featured on multiple covers of Best Lawyers, Texas Best Lawyers (2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019), Austin and San Antonio editions and has been featured on multiple prior occasions in Texas’ Best Lawyers as published in various periodicals in Texas, including the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, San Antonio Express-News, the Wall Street Journal, and various other publications. Joe has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer, as well.
