Jay Cohen represents individuals and families who suffer due to the negligence of others. He has won large jury verdicts in Florida medical malpractice and complex commercial cases. For the past two years, he was named a “Most Effective Lawyers” finalist in the medical malpractice category by the Daily Business Review. He has also been named
by his peers to Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite, Florida Super Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America. Jay has been elected to serve as a member of The Florida Bar’s Board of Governors and serves on the Board of the Urban League of Broward County. He has taught law at Nova Southeastern University Law School and St. Thomas University School of Law. Jay was an undergraduate at the University of Florida and received his J.D. at Houston College of Law.
