Nasim Ghasemi

Nasim is a specialized lawyer in technology law and a member of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Law practice group at Deloitte Legal Canada.

She formerly served as a senior in-house counsel at an international conglomerate in the aviation industry where she negotiated and drafted technology contracts for IT outsourcing, software licensing and cloud computing agreements. Within that organization she also led global negotiations with suppliers for compliance with General Data Protection Regulation. Prior to that, she worked as a secondee at another in-house law department of a national telecommunication company where she advised the IT procurement and media content acquisition teams in their contract negotiations.

Before her in-house counsel experience, Nasim started her career at a national Canadian law firm in their commercial litigation and class actions practice group.

Education
Nasim was called to the Bar of Québec in 2009, after receiving a J.D. from University of Ottawa in 2009 and an LL.B. from Université Laval in 2008.
