Sophie Arseneault

Sophie Arseneault practices in the areas of employment, labour, and human rights law. Regularly working with both private and public sector employers, Sophie advises clients on a variety of employment law and labour relations matters. She also has an active litigation practice and a strong experience in providing strategic advice and litigation support as an agent for parties in matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Sophie has assisted clients on employment standards, labour relations, wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints, provincial and federal pay equity plan development and maintenance exercises, and a wide range of proceedings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. She works with both unionized and non-unionized employers in a variety of industries, and has appeared before several levels of court in both civil, criminal and quasi-criminal matters.

In her litigation practice, Sophie advises on both civil and commercial matters, for a variety of industries. In advising on Supreme Court of Canada matters, Sophie regularly acts as Ottawa agent for clients in all types of matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.
