Working together since 2002, Steve Oberman & Sara Compher-Rice form a cohesive team sharing legal knowledge, scientific developments and innovative trial techniques unique to Tennessee DUI defense, as well as the defense of other Tennessee crimes. In 2014, Mr. Arrin “A.Z.” Zadeh was asked to join the firm as an associate lawyer and three years later was asked to become partner.

The mission of Oberman & Rice is to zealously represent our clients while maintaining the highest standards of professional responsibility and ethics. Of equal importance, our lawyers and staff strive to provide exceptional service to our clients and pride ourselves on prompt and thorough communication with our clients. To achieve this goal, our lawyers limit the number of criminal defendants they represent to ensure that each client receives the personal attention they deserve.

Additionally, our lawyers have a strong commitment to scholarship–volunteering their time to educate other member of the bar (lawyers and judges) as well as the general public on a variety of legal topics. Our lawyers have combined to deliver hundreds of presentations.

The attorneys of Oberman & Rice are licensed to practice in all Tennessee Courts, including both State and Federal jurisdictions. Although best known for their work as DUI lawyers in Tennessee, Mr. Oberman, Ms. Compher-Rice, and Mr. Zadeh regularly assist those charged with a variety of criminal offenses, both misdemeanors and felonies.
