O'Brien, both the 19th Judicial Circuit's Representative on the Young Lawyers Conference and the athletics chair of the VSB annual meeting, was a panel member at the George Mason University Family Law Society, and mentored students at the Loudoun County Bar Association's Leadership in the Law camp.
