Shannon Quinn is an Associate in Ross & McBride’s Family Law Group.

She acts on behalf of individuals who are entering into a marriage or a common-law relationship, or those who are experiencing a relationship breakdown and need guidance through separation or a divorce.

Shannon is an adept problem-solver whose interdisciplinary approach to advocacy and conflict resolution is rooted in her Collaborative Family Law Practice training. Her goal is to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for people who are often experiencing one of the most emotional transitions in their lives. When settlement cannot be achieved by way of a separation agreement or through alternative dispute resolution options such as mediation, Shannon does not hesitate to advocate for her clients by way of court intervention, when necessary.

Shannon received her Juris Doctor from University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law and built her practice in the Niagara Region before relocating to Hamilton. Prior to studying law, Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Queen’s University, with a focus on mood disorders and adolescent psychopathology and development. She also received a Bachelor of Education with distinction from the University of Western Ontario, where her studies focused on children’s education and development. As a family lawyer, Shannon’s distinct educational background lends a unique perspective to her practice.

Outside of her practice, Shannon is a contributor to the Hamilton Spectator’s Legal Matters column and Hamilton Law Association Journal.

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys exploring Hamilton’s diverse culinary scene, spending time with family and staying active through tennis and yoga.
