Markus Ruttig

Prof Dr Markus Ruttig studied law at the universities of Bonn, Edinburgh, Freiburg i. Br. and Passau (doctorate). After being admitted to the bar in 2001, he initially worked for four years in a regional law firm in Berlin in the field of media law before moving to CBH in Cologne in 2004. Prof Dr Markus Ruttig is a specialist in intellectual property law and specialises in competition and media law. In addition to copyright law and press law, gambling law is a focal point of his work. Prof Dr Markus Ruttig is a lecturer at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. The commentary on gambling law published by C. H. Beck-Verlag is co-edited and edited by Prof Dr Markus Ruttig. Prof Dr Markus Ruttig has also published extensively on gambling law and copyright law. Since 2014/2015, the JUVE Handbook has continuously identified Prof Dr Markus Ruttig as a frequently recommended attorney in trademark and competition law as well as media law (“proven expert in gambling law”, competitor).
