Tell us a little bit about your practice and what makes it unique.

  1. BG2V’s Employment Law Department, managed by Marie Content and Guillaume de Saint Sernin, assists its clients with day-to-day issues but also with significant matters regarding individual and collective work relationships, including:     

  • Confirmation of a new expertise in internal investigation within the framework of whistleblowing lines (FRANCE TELEVISIONS, HELLMET.). 

  • Employment law aspects of M&A transactions: audits, consultation process with the works council, harmonization of the collective statutes (Groupe M6, IVC Evidensia France, Nomotech). 

 

  • Restructuring of companies: simplification of structure (GIE Wivetix, Nomotech), economic dismissals or redundancy plans (Job Teaser, Sotheby’s), organization of the staff representative institutions (Générale du Solaire, Sotheby’s). 

  • Negotiation of collective bargaining agreements at the company level or at the industry level: working time organization, teleworking, saving plans, functioning of the works council, strategic workforce planning and mobility leave (CDC II which is a subsidiary of CAISSE DES DEPOTS, Nomotech, Sotheby’s). 

  • Profit-sharing:  granting of free shares, collective bargaining negotiations on profit-sharing and on employees’ saving plans (CDC II which is a subsidiary of CAISSE DES DEPOTS, Nomotech). 

  • Management of occupational illnesses or occupational accidents (Auchan, Areas, Arte, DRT, Red Bee Media). 

  • Litigation by assisting and representing our clients before all civil courts (For example: Auchan, DRT, CRIT, France Télévisions, Yves Rocher).  

Anything else you’d like to share?

  1. The employment law team has a business partner approach with its clients. For us, it means:  

  • Using a practical and empirical methodology from diagnosis (requirements mapping tools) for the definition of the strategy (decision support tools), to set-up and implementation of the chosen strategy (drafts of documents), as well as post-implementation monitoring (ex: internal investigations, negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, creation of a “UES”, provision of services vs. provision of employees, etc…). 

  • Developing a cross-analysis of our cases, based on our past experience, to offer our clients innovative and appropriate solutions in relation with the other departments of the firm (tax, corporate, real estate…). 

  • Organising workshops for auditing and sharing best practices 

  • Organising training sessions on specifics subjects in order to share our expertise and offer them more autonomy.  

 

  1. BG2V has a complete team dedicated to employment law composed 2 partners, 2 counsels (who were promoted over the past 12 months and 6 associates but is also working with other departments and teams of BG2V, thereby enabling us to:  

  1. Draw the attention of our clients to subjects relating to other departments.  

  1. Offer a full-service package for high-stakes and cross-disciplinary cases, with a strong expertise on each matter. 

  1. Offer a high level of responsiveness, with a coordinated vision to going forward quickly and efficiently.
