John D. Hanover is a partner in Peckar & Abramson’s Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on the areas of construction and real estate litigation. He represents a diverse client base, including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, design professionals, construction managers, owners, financial institutions and sureties.
Mr. Hanover has handled multimillion-dollar disputes in court, arbitrations and mediations, having acted as lead counsel in jury and nonjury trials in court, and in more than 100 arbitrations and mediations. He has particular expertise in all areas of construction law and construction dispute resolution arising out of both private and public works. He has demonstrated success in handling construction matters ranging from contract disputes, delay and interruption claims and payment remedies, to claims of defective work.
Mr. Hanover is admitted to practice in the State of California, the State of Nevada, the State of Colorado and the State of Tennessee. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Nevada, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Forum on the Construction Industry, the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association and the Associated General Contractors of California. Mr. Hanover received his bachelor of arts degree from Tufts University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
