Jaime Olleros is an International Partner at Andersen Tax & Legal and Managing Partner of the firm in Spain.
He has more than 40 years of professional experience, having started his professional career in 1973 at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Madrid working in the legal, tax and foreign investment departments until 1981. He then started a new stage in his career as Company Secretary of Textiles y Confecciones Europeas, SA – Grupo Lois.
He founded his own law firm in May 1986, known as Olleros Abogados, of which he was a Managing Partner until the firm joined Andersen Global in 2017.
Jaime Olleros mainly specializes in Corporate Law and International Taxation and he has wide experience in Corporate Contracts, advising on M&A transactions and Financial Law.
He has led a number of domestic and international transactions involving the revision, restructuring, acquisition and sale of companies, as well as formulating legal opinions in his areas of specialization.
He has extensive experience in operations carried out in Cuba and, from 2013, is ranked as 'Foreign Expert' in the Chambers & Partners Global Guide for their advice to national and international clients on the island. Furthermore, he has been ranked as a recognised lawyer for Croporate and M&A in the British guide The Legal 500 as well as in the ranking elaborated by Best Lawyers.
On the arbitration front, he has taken part in a number of arbitration proceedings in Spain, both as sole arbitrator, or as a lawyer. He has also been involved in a number of cases as a mediator and has provided legal advice in several arbitration proceedings before the Arbitration Court of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and before the American Arbitration Association.
