Timothy Murphy

Co-Chair, Project Finance, Infrastructure & Energy

Tim Murphy's practice focuses on transactions with a public component with a particular emphasis on project finance, infrastructure, energy and public private partnerships. Tim also brings extensive experience in the public sector. Tim has advised national and international clients in diverse areas including project finance, construction law, infrastructure and renewable energy, government procurement and bid practices generally. His public sector experience also includes serving as Chief of Staff to the Finance Minister of Canada, as a Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario and as a strategic advisor to governments at all levels. 
Jamie Gorelick was one of the longest serving Deputy Attorneys General of the United States, the second highest position in the Department of Justice. She was also a member of the bipartisan National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the "9/11 Commission").
Filips K. Klavins is a Founder and Managing Partner of  Ellex Klavins, one of the largest firms in Latvia and a member of Ellex, a circle of leading Baltic law firms. He is a Member of the Board of Directors for Arbitration of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Country Representative for Latvia of the American Bar Association Section of International Law and Practice.
Richard Hays is the managing partner of Alston & Bird LLP. He previously served as financial partner on the firm’s management committee and chaired the Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Mr. Hays received his A.B. from Harvard University in 1982, his M.Sc. in law from Edinburgh University in 1984 as a Rotary Scholar and his J.D. in 1986 from Vanderbilt School of Law, where he was an editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
