Ryan J. Androsoff

Ryan ran (and won) his first trial in 2011 while still a law student at the University of Victoria. He has been practicing law for over ten years, exclusively in the areas of litigation and dispute resolution. Ryan is recognized by peer-reviewed The Best Lawyers® in Canada for his work in corporate and commercial litigation. He has particular experience in disputes involving real property, estates and trusts, and professional liability, but he is proud to maintain a generalist barrister’s practice. Ryan has represented parties at all levels of court in British Columbia, in the Supreme Court of Canada, and before administrative tribunals.

Ryan believes that legal advice should be straight-forward, considered, and candid. Ryan’s approach to serving his clients is to first identify with them what their achievable objectives are, and then develop and implement a legal strategy tailored to achieving those objectives. Ryan understands that his clients’ primary goals are usually (but not always) tied to financial considerations, and Ryan accordingly strives in all aspects of his practice to maximize his clients’ wallets and pocketbooks. Although the courtroom is one of Ryan’s favourite places to be, he recognizes that litigation is expensive and that exploring the possibility of an extra-judicial dispute resolution is often a worthwhile endeavour. Ryan leverages his passion and aptitude for technology to serve his clients’ interests in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.

Ryan clerked at the British Columbia Court of Appeal before beginning his legal practice at a prominent downtown Vancouver regional firm. He joined Hunter Litigation Chambers in 2016 and became Counsel at the firm in 2020.
