Robert E. Helpern is a founding partner of the firm's Real Estate practice. For more than thirty years, Bob has leveraged his legal experience to identify key issues and craft creative solutions for clients including real estate funds, banks, developers, owners of commercial and multi-family properties, and tenants. Bob has been involved in acquisitions and sales, leasing, joint ventures, mortgage and mezzanine financing, and restructuring of debt. Representative clients include one of the largest owner/developers of shopping centers in the United States, one of the largest New York City hospitals, and private equity funds managed by former real estate partners from major law firms.

Bob has been selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 every year that selections were made.
