Jodi joined Berman & Simmons in 1997 and is a partner in the firm. She represents clients in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She has successfully handled cases through trial in most counties in Maine.
Jodi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology as a pre-med undergraduate. Beginning in high school and continuing until she entered law school she worked in the field of biology, conducting research in the areas of heart disease, cellular biology, and genetics.
In law school Jodi actively honed her skills in oral advocacy. She was a member of the Moot Court Board, and was named Best Overall Advocate. She was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team and she and her partner were the New England Regional Champions of the National Trial Competition in 1996.
Jodi interned for a year at the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office and gained real courtroom experience. She then obtained a trial court clerkship with the Maine Superior Court to further develop her knowledge of civil litigation.
Jodi's practice combines her experience and training as a trial lawyer with her knowledge and education of medical issues.
