Anne E. Jenness

Anne Jenness is a member of the firm’s litigation and corporate departments, focusing on employment law and workplace investigations. Anne also provides training, advice, and guidance on a wide variety of legal issues affecting boards, associations, and nonprofit organizations, and assists municipal clients in various litigation matters.

Anne was selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for Concord, NH in Employment Law – Management for 2024.

In addition to her legal training, Anne has a professional background in Human Resources Management and Equal Employment Opportunity. As a result of her broad experience in counseling employers, Anne is a knowledgeable and practical advisor for organizations facing complex employment challenges, including wage and hour questions; allegations of harassment, discrimination, and bullying; employee discipline/ termination; and ADA and FMLA administration. Anne’s clients include employers in a wide variety of industries, including health care, banking, technology, schools, manufacturing, nonprofits, and government entities.

Anne also represents employees who need assistance with workplace issues, including advice on employment agreements, separation agreements, and non-competes.

Anne is designated as an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH), and holds a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certificate from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). She is the Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Legal Assistance Board of Directors and is a member of the Red River Theatres Board of Trustees.

Anne graduated with honors from the University of Iowa School of Law, and received repeated recognition for her accomplishments in the areas of legal writing and appellate advocacy, including receiving the faculty-conferred award for Outstanding Achievement in Appellate Advocacy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Anne began her legal career as a public defender with the New Hampshire Public Defender Program.

Anne is admitted in the state and federal courts of New Hampshire, and the State of California (inactive).
