Biography

Zachary Piaker completed clerkships with the Honorable Alison J. Nathan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Jesse M. Furman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He previously worked as an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and represented clients in a range of complex commercial and pro bono matters, including Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) class-action claims, copyright disputes, commercial arbitration, and Section 1983 litigation. Prior to law school, Zachary worked at the Partnership for Public Service's Center for Presidential Transition on efforts to improve the transfer of power between presidential administrations.

Zachary received his J.D. from Columbia Law School where he was a James Kent Scholar, Online Editor of the Columbia Law Review, and President of the American Constitution Society. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
