Biography
Yuri Eliezer co founded the firm’s patent practice and advises technology companies on building, protecting, and monetizing high value intellectual property portfolios across U.S. and international markets. His work focuses on helping companies secure defensible patent positions that support product strategy, fundraising, and acquisition readiness.
Yuri has deep experience developing and executing patent strategies across software, internet and telecom, computer, electrical, and medical device technologies, while also supporting patent prosecution in mechanical, aerospace, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition to patent strategy, he regularly advises on licensing, acquisition, and commercialization transactions designed to maximize long term IP value.
He also advises clients on broader intellectual property strategy, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secret protection, working closely with corporate, securities, and M&A teams to align IP with broader business objectives.
Yuri co founded the firm’s patent presence at Atlanta Tech Village, where he served for several years as an intellectual property advisor to startup companies. He was also selected by the United States Patent and Trademark Office to provide technical and industry insight through the Patent Examiner Technical Training Program, sharing practical perspective on how technology companies interact with the U.S. patent system.
Yuri has been selected to Super Lawyers Patent lists multiple years based on peer nominations and has secured patents that have been tested through USPTO examination, re examination, and litigation. In addition to legal practice, he has founded technology companies in both hardware and software sectors and has been featured in national media including NPR, CNN, and International Business Times.
With a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Yuri has advised companies ranging from early stage startups to global enterprises, including Microsoft, Cisco, Cox, AT&T, General Electric, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Coca Cola.
