Yun Li Reilly is a Partner at Farris LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia, and practises in the firm’s litigation and family law groups. Her practice includes Corporate and Commercial Litigation, Family Law, civil litigation, estate disputes, strata property matters, tenancy disputes, and regulatory proceedings. Yun represents individuals, corporations, and institutional clients in complex disputes before all levels of court in British Columbia, the Supreme Court of Canada, administrative tribunals, the B.C. Securities Commission, and professional disciplinary bodies.
Yun holds law degrees from Harvard Law School and the University of British Columbia, along with an academic background in Psychology and Neuroscience. She previously served as Judicial Law Clerk to Madam Justice Newbury and Mr. Justice Lowry of the British Columbia Court of Appeal and worked as the Court of Appeal’s consultant to its Civil Rule Reform Project. Yun also co-authors the British Columbia Annual Practice, a procedural text widely used by lawyers and the judiciary, with Madam Justice Janice Dillon. In addition to her legal practice, Yun lectures in law at Simon Fraser University.
Active in the legal and broader community, Yun serves as the legal member of the UBC Women’s and Children’s Research Ethics Board and is a member of the Allard Law School Alumni Board of Directors. She was profiled in the 75th Anniversary Special Edition of the Allard School of Law Alumni Magazine, which highlighted one graduate from each of the last six decades. Yun is also a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and the Canadian Federation of Asian Lawyers.
Born in China and raised in New Zealand, Yun is fluent in Mandarin. Outside of her practice, she enjoys long-distance running and has completed both the Boston Marathon and the Vancouver Marathon.
