She has served in numerous Knoxville Bar Association committees and sections, including Access to Justice, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Corporate Counsel, CLE, Functions, Interprofessional Relations, Law Office Management and Technology, Membership, Professionalism, Publications, Unmet Legal Needs of Children, and Work/Life Balance.
She is also a past president of the Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women, where she chaired the CLE Committee and the Elected and Appointed Officials Committee, served as Judicial Liaison, and participated on the Empowerment Conference Committee. In addition, Wynne is a past president of the East Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women, where she received the organization’s Spirit of Justice Award and chaired its Komen Race for the Cure Team for ten years. She also served as Secretary on the Board of Komen East Tennessee. Wynne is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
Wynne is a graduate of the 2021 Leadership Knoxville program and is a member of Akima Club, a women’s service organization in Knoxville.
In addition to her litigation practice, Wynne taught Advanced Trial Practice as an Adjunct Professor and regularly lectures to attorneys and professional organizations on litigation, trial practice, and legal issues affecting businesses and professionals.
She is an American Bar Foundation Fellow and has served as a guest member of the Tennessee Judicial Conference’s Executive Committee and the Tennessee Bar Association’s Board of Governors. She has also served as a Diversity Institute Mentor and was appointed to the Tennessee Bar Association Glass Ceiling Taskforce. At the request of the Tennessee Supreme Court, Wynne serves on the Pro Bono Advisory Committee to the Access to Justice Commission.
Wynne and her husband, Wayne Knight, have four children and two granddaughters.
