Winston Yee

Winston acts as Senior Counsel in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell. His practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, securities and corporate/commercial law.

He acts as a trusted strategic advisor to his clients with the additional skill set of a Chartered Professional Accountant. With over 30 years practicing law, Winston brings business and financial acumen to add value to client transactions, as well as a unique multi-disciplinary approach to strategy formulation, creative problem solving, risk identification/mitigation and dispute resolution.

Winston has a broad range of experience in M&A, financings, reorganizations and governance having acted for local, national and international clients, including public and private M&A, corporate and shareholder disputes, tax reorganizations, and Canadian and cross-border private and public debt and equity offerings. He has been engaged as special counsel to provide strategic advice relating to financial, accounting and audit matters and to interface with Canadian Securities Administrators. He has also provided strategic advice on various proxy contests, and negotiated and unsolicited takeovers.
