Biography
Winston S. Kirby is a partner at the Edwards Kirby law firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. He represents individuals and families in complex litigation involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and products liability matters throughout the state.
Mr. Kirby earned his J.D. in 2015 from Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010.
Mr. Kirby is the third generation of the Kirby family to serve the citizens of North Carolina. He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, J. Russell Kirby, who began practicing law in 1948 and later served as a North Carolina State Senator, and his father, David Kirby, a respected member of the North Carolina legal community for more than four decades. For over 75 years, the Kirby family has represented individuals across the state, and Mr. Kirby considers it both a responsibility and an honor to continue that tradition.
Mr. Kirby is admitted to practice before the courts of North Carolina and all federal courts in the state. He maintains memberships in the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Tenth Judicial District Bar, and the Wake County Bar Association. He volunteers for statewide mock trial competitions and supports law students preparing for the bar examination.
Mr. Kirby has recovered substantial compensation for individuals and families in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and products liability claims.
