William “Billy” Mauck is a commercial litigator in Richmond, Virginia with more than 35 years of experience representing clients in the construction industry. At Spotts Fain PC, his practice focuses on Construction Law and Litigation - Construction, advising owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals throughout all phases of construction projects.
Billy works with clients on contract negotiation and drafting, project administration, risk management strategies, and dispute resolution. When disputes arise, he represents clients in mediation, arbitration, and litigation involving a broad range of construction-related matters, including delay and inefficiency claims, performance and payment bond claims, mechanic’s liens, design-related disputes, and defective construction materials.
In addition to his client work, Billy serves as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association’s Construction Industry Roster of Neutrals, where he hears and decides construction-related disputes. He is also an active member of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia and frequently speaks and writes on legal and industry topics affecting the construction sector.
