Biography
Bill Kessler is the chair of the Litigation Group at Beresford Booth in Edmonds, Washington. His practice focuses on Commercial Litigation, representing businesses, individuals, and families in real estate disputes and business disputes. Bill has litigated matters in Superior Courts throughout Washington, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Washington and the Eastern District of Washington. He has also argued cases before the Washington Court of Appeals and has been admitted pro hac vice in multiple federal and state courts across the country. Bill works closely with clients to understand their overall objectives and to pursue practical, informed solutions throughout each stage of a case.
In addition to his litigation practice, Bill assists clients with a variety of business and real estate transactions. His experience includes entity formation, partnership and shareholder agreements, commercial lease transactions, and the purchase and sale of real estate, business assets, and ownership interests. This transactional background allows him to provide counsel that takes into account both dispute resolution and long-term business considerations.
Bill has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, a peer-review referral guide for attorneys in the United States. He has practiced at Beresford Booth PLLC for his entire legal career and has been a partner with the firm since 2016.
Outside of his legal practice, Bill is actively involved in the local community. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Sno-King Youth Club and the Husky Rugby Alumni Association, and he provides legal services to a number of nonprofit organizations. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his family.
