William N. "Bill" Wofford

He is very user friendly. Bill is great at characterizing risk versus stating what one can and can't do. He also offers a global perspective versus a North Carolina perspective with disclaimers only. This is helpful since few of my negotiations are in North Carolina. Key areas of strength: 1. He is an excellent drafter. 2. He is timely in his response. 3. He meets timelines and is capable of meeting aggressive ones. 4. He is approachable and likeable; he is not obnoxious and does not have a big ego 5. He captures and prioritizes relevant issues. 6. He defers to operational experience, but is not opposed to challenge. 7. He is a resource and is not "billable hours" focused. 8. He recognizes and appreciates cost effectiveness needed from small "bootstrapping" clients. Overall, I like working with him and his colleagues. I often have the opportunity to recommend him locally to clients. He is easily comparable to the talent found is some of the nation's top life science practices from Boston and San Francisco.
