Trey Bolling is a shareholder in Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham, Alabama office. He is a member of the Tax and Real Estate practice groups, where his practice focuses on tax and economic development incentives at the federal, state, and local levels, with a particular emphasis on qualified opportunity zones, historic tax credits, and state and local tax abatements. He also regularly assists developers and investors in commercial real estate transactions, advising on investment structuring, capital gain planning, exit planning, and drafting documentation such as partnership/operating agreements and joint venture agreements. In addition, Trey assists clients with entity formation and structuring, joint venture arrangements, nonprofit/tax exempt issues, and general business planning transactions, all with an eye towards tax efficiency.

Prior to joining Dentons Sirote, formerly Sirote & Permutt, Trey worked at a boutique tax law firm specializing in historic tax credit transactions as well as the national office of a Big 4 accounting firm. While working in the Big 4, Trey advised multinational clients on the tax aspects of spin-offs, acquisitions, internal restructurings, and post-merger integration.
