As a registered patent attorney, Bill represents individual inventors, small businesses, and multinational companies in proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and coordinates with foreign intellectual property attorneys in proceedings in the intellectual property offices of variety of other countries.
Bill also regularly assists clients with a variety of technology-related legal needs, including preparation and review of licensing and technology transfer agreements, employment matters relating to the engagement and termination of high-tech employees, preparation of freedom-to-operate opinions, and disputes involving technology contracts.Prior to becoming a lawyer, Bill designed and developed state-of-the-art data communication, telephony, and cartography software, and wrote several books and magazine articles on computer hardware and software topics.
