Willard J. Moody, Jr. is the President of The Moody Law Firm, Inc., a Virginia law firm headquartered in Portsmouth, Virginia. Since graduating from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1983, Mr. Moody has focused his practice on representing injured individuals and railroad workers in claims arising under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA). He is licensed to practice law in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Florida, and is admitted to practice before numerous federal courts throughout the United States, U.S. Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Moody has served as President of the Portsmouth Bar Association and as President of the Academy of Railway Labor Attorneys (ARLA). He has also served on ARLA’s Committee for Occupational Diseases. In addition, he is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He has received an AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review process for legal ability and professional ethics.

Mr. Moody’s practice includes representing railroad workers in FELA claims involving traumatic injuries, occupational diseases, asbestos exposure, cancer claims, and mesothelioma claims. His work also includes product liability litigation, trucking accident cases, medical malpractice claims, and automobile negligence matters. As part of the firm’s Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Plaintiffs practice, he represents individuals in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation involving medications and products such as Vioxx, Reglan, Levaquin, Zicam, Accutane, Avandia, Fosamax, and defective hip, shoulder, knee, hernia mesh, and vaginal mesh implants.
