Biography
Virginia Wong is co-head of the firm’s Infrastructure Finance team and a member of the firm’s Public Finance and Project Finance practice groups. Mrs. Wong represents both issuers and underwriters in a full range of transactions including public offerings and private placements and, in particular, project bond transactions and tax-exempt revenue bond financings.
What do you focus on?
My practice focuses on capital markets transactions involving infrastructure and transportation assets and on municipal finance transactions involving those assets as well as cultural and educational institutions.
I’ve represented issuers and senior and subordinate lenders in project financings and other complex financial transactions, including serving as bond counsel on financings for the Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority and as counsel to the United States Department of Transportation for secured loans made under the TIFIA Program.
I’ve also served as finance counsel to numerous cultural institutions and other nonprofit entities including: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Metropolitan Opera, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Carnegie Hall, the New York Botanical Garden, the Whitney Museum, Pace University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
