HFM Partner Virginia Price’s law practice primarily serves clients in the transportation industry, and she is a key member of the firm’s Transportation and Litigation Practice Groups.
Ms. Price primarily focuses on representing the transportation industry in a wide variety of litigation, including catastrophic loss claims, cargo liability, and employment liability. She also counsels her clients on employment decisions, contract negotiation, and compliance with local, state and federal regulations. In addition, she has offered coverage advice and opinions to transportation insurers.
Ms. Price also instituted and adheres to a rapid response protocol ensuring the Transportation Practice Group’s availability to the firm’s clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for immediate response to accident and catastrophic loss scenes. She has also compiled a team of experts who are at the top of their respective fields and are available to respond immediately to accident and catastrophic loss scenes.
She has substantial experience with all phases of transportation litigation covering a wide array of legal issues. She has successfully defended members of the transportation industry up to and through trial, as well as in arbitration, mediation and motion practice.
Ms. Price is a frequent speaker on transportation legal topics and is very involved with both national and local industry organizations. She is rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell™ — earning the highest possible rating for both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards. She was also selected as a San Diego SuperLawyer® in 2015, and a San Diego Rising Star® in 2016. She has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers® in America in 2020.
Prior to joining HFM, Ms. Price was a Shareholder with Klinedinst PC. She founded and chaired that firm’s Transportation Practice Group, overseeing their transportation practice in all four offices throughout California. She also developed Klinedinst’s 24-hour rapid response protocol.
Ms. Price hails from Waynesboro, Virginia, and she graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law.
