Biography

Ugo Giganti is the founding partner of Cabinet Giganti, a Paris law firm practicing exclusively French employment law on behalf of executives and senior executives. A member of the Paris Bar since 2017, he has been selected for Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in France™ in Labor and Employment Law.

His practice centers on negotiated executive exits: complex mutual termination agreements (rupture conventionnelle), severance negotiations, and post-dismissal settlements, frequently in contexts of reorganization, governance disputes, or loss of confidence. He is regularly retained in high-stakes matters involving variable compensation, bonuses, and equity-based remuneration — RSUs, performance shares, free shares, and stock options — including loss-of-chance claims arising from their forfeiture. Where litigation becomes necessary, he represents clients before the French employment tribunal (Conseil de prud'hommes) in cases of unfair dismissal, moral and sexual harassment, discrimination, and unpaid compensation.

Since founding the firm, Ugo Giganti has advised several hundred clients throughout France, working in both French and English, often in international settings involving foreign groups. He holds a Master 2 in Labor Relations Law and Practice from Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and an LL.M. from the University of Copenhagen. He publishes regularly in leading French employment law journals, including La Semaine Juridique Social and Jurisprudence Sociale Lamy.
