Trent Kinkaid is an associate attorney at Elmore, Stone & Caffey PLLC in Knoxville, Tennessee. Since joining the firm in 2020, he has focused his practice on civil litigation, commercial litigation, general business matters, and transactional law. He represents individuals and businesses in a range of legal matters and works with clients to address disputes and business-related legal issues efficiently and strategically.
Originally from Plainview, Texas, Trent moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. During law school, he served as the Research and Symposium Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law & Policy and earned the Jones Center for Leadership and Service Gold Medallion in recognition of his service and leadership.
Before joining Elmore, Stone & Caffey PLLC, Trent gained legal experience working with the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the Homer A. Jones, Jr. Wills Clinic. His background provides him with experience in litigation, legal research, and client advocacy across a variety of legal settings.
Outside of his legal practice, Trent enjoys playing golf and attending University of Tennessee football, basketball, and baseball games. He and his wife, Kelsey, have a daughter and two dogs.
