Tracie Morgan is an immigration attorney with Hope Immigration LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. She represents individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters, including humanitarian relief, waivers, green cards, naturalization, and family-based immigration cases. Much of her work has focused on helping immigrant victims of crime, domestic violence, and human trafficking pursue lawful immigration options and move forward with greater stability and security.
Over the course of her legal career, Tracie has developed a strong immigration law practice centered on practical solutions for clients facing complex circumstances. She has guided families through waiver applications, attended hundreds of green card and naturalization interviews throughout the United States, and worked closely with clients navigating the immigration system during challenging periods in their lives.
Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Tracie earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Kansas. While attending graduate school, she worked in the International Student and Scholar Services Office, where she discovered a lasting interest in assisting international students and learning about diverse cultures and communities.
In 2003, Tracie moved to Lodz, Poland, where she experienced life abroad from a different perspective. After returning to the United States, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004 and helped grow an English as a Foreign Language program from 20 students to more than 200 students within a few years.
As an international student advisor, Tracie frequently spoke with students who had immigration-related questions involving marriage, immigration status, or encounters with law enforcement. Those experiences ultimately led her to pursue a legal career focused on immigration law. She enrolled at Georgia State University College of Law in 2005.
During law school, Tracie served as President of the Immigration Law Society and Legislative Assistant Editor for the Law Review. She also participated in study abroad programs in Linz, Austria and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After graduating cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law, she began practicing immigration law with a private immigration attorney in Duluth, Georgia.
Tracie has remained active in legal and community organizations throughout her career. She previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) and currently serves on its Advisory Board. She is also Secretary of the Board of Directors for Caminar Latino.
She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has held several leadership positions, including Chair of the New Member Division, Chair of the USCIS Atlanta Liaison Committee, and Past Chapter Chair for the Georgia-Alabama Chapter.
At the national level, Tracie has served on the AILA Board of Governors and participated in several committees, including the USCIS Field Operations Committee, the USCIS Ombudsman Committee, the VAWA, T, and U Committee, and the New Member Division Steering Committee. In 2018, she received the AILA National Advocacy Award for her work addressing anti-immigrant legislation in Georgia.
Tracie has also spoken at Fort Stewart, Emory University, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, and Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. She has presented nationwide on immigration law topics including waivers, naturalization, practice management, and legal options available to immigrant victims of crime.
She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Cobb County Bar Association. Tracie is licensed to practice in state and federal courts throughout Georgia and before the United States Supreme Court.
