As a Senior Litigation Counsel at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP, in Washington, D.C., Ting Cheung focuses her practice on employment law, whistleblower claims and qui tam actions. She also represents clients in matters involving wrongful death, contractual disputes and sexual violence. Leveraging her extensive experience in international legal matters, along with her native proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese, she provides culturally informed representation to Asian American employees and whistleblowers navigating complex legal issues.
Ms. Cheung handles a wide range of employment and civil litigation matters. She works closely with employees, whistleblowers and individuals seeking accountability for workplace misconduct and other legal violations. Because she handles both employment matters and whistleblower representation, she is able to assess and sequence claims together where a single course of conduct supports both on different timelines and in different forums. Her practice emphasizes thoughtful advocacy and strategic representation tailored to the unique circumstances of each case. She has developed a neurodiversity-informed approach to representation, grounded in how neurodivergent clients process information, communicate, and experience the legal process—a topic she speaks and writes about frequently. Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP, Ms. Cheung built a strong academic and legal foundation through her studies and training in Hong Kong and the United States. Her international legal background enables her to approach multifaceted disputes from a broad perspective while effectively serving clients from various walks of life. Ms. Cheung earned a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School after receiving a postgraduate certificate in laws and a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Hong Kong. She was admitted to practice law in New York in 2021, California in 2023 and Washington, D.C., in 2025. She is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
