Biography

Tina L. Lewert is the principal and founder of Lewert Law, LLC in Boca Raton, where she has represented the residents of South Florida in complex family law matters for more than two decades. Now in its twenty-third year, the firm handles divorce, complex asset distribution, alimony, paternity and fathers' rights, child custody and child support disputes, parental relocation, domestic violence matters, prenuptial and other marital agreements, post-divorce modifications and enforcement, and family law mediation.

Fewer than 300 of Florida's more than 115,000 lawyers are Board Certified in Marital and Family Law by The Florida Bar. Ms. Lewert is one of them, a distinction she has held since 2009. Board certification is the Bar's highest recognition of skill and competency, requiring a high degree of knowledge, experience, ethics, proficiency, and professionalism in meeting the exacting standards established by the Bar's Board of Legal Specialization and Education, which is overseen by the Supreme Court of Florida. Ms. Lewert is also nationally board certified in family law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, is Collaboratively Trained, and is admitted to practice law in Florida, New York, and Texas.

Ms. Lewert has been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator since 2007 and serves as a special magistrate in family law matters; in both roles, she is regularly selected by the attorneys who otherwise oppose her. In her own cases, Ms. Lewert works from the conviction that her clients, most of whom are first-time litigants facing permanent decisions during a difficult period in their lives, deserve to understand every step of their case. She explains the law, the advice, and the reasoning behind each recommendation so that her clients can make sound, informed choices about their own futures. Ms. Lewert prepares every case as though it will be tried, because readiness for trial often creates the leverage needed to resolve a case without the financial and emotional toll of a courtroom battle. Each matter receives its own strategy and attention, grounded in the premise that every case and every family is unique.

Ms. Lewert is recognized in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America and has been named a Florida "SuperLawyer" for the past 14 consecutive years, a prestigious designation limited to 5% of all attorneys in the State of Florida. She has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes.com, and Palm Beach Illustrated Magazine, including its September 2026 "Top Lawyers" edition, among other publications. Her additional honors include "Top Attorneys in Florida" as published in The Wall Street Journal and Miami Magazine; Boca Raton Observer's "Top Lawyers" 2022, 2023, and 2024; being featured in The New York Times as one of Lawyers of Distinction's 2021 Power Lawyers; the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys' "Top 10 Family Law Attorneys in Florida"; the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys' Top 10 in Florida; the American Society of Legal Advocates' "Top 100 Family Lawyers in Florida"; Boca Raton Magazine's Expert Attorneys and "Women in Business"; Attorney at Law Magazine's "Attorneys to Watch"; the Client Distinction Award from Martindale.com; and Avvo.com's highest rating of "Superb, 10.0."

Ms. Lewert earned her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University and her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale.
