Biography

Tina Aswad is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office and a member of the firm’s Labour, Employment & Equalities Group.

Her practice covers all aspects of collective and individual labour relations, including providing advisory services and drafting employment relationship-related documents such as employment agreements, policies, service agreements, restrictive clauses and compensation plans. She has extensive experience in labour and employment litigation, particularly in cases involving dismissals and unfair competition.

In addition, Tina also acts as an external investigator for complaints of psychological or sexual harassment in the workplace, and regularly conducts workplace climate analyses.

Tina frequently advises companies on the protection of personal information and French language compliance requirements. She has advised many employers in the context of corporate restructuring involving large-scale layoffs.

Appearing before all levels of civil and administrative court in Québec, Tina also frequently assists professionals during investigations by their professional corporations and represents them in the context of complaints before the Discipline Committee.
