Timothy R. "Tim" Lawn

Annually ranked as one of the Top 10 lawyers in Pennsylvania in the SuperLawyers voting, Tim Lawn is recognized as one of the leading trial attorneys in the state. He has spent more than 30 years litigating complex injury and death cases throughout the Commonwealth. Tim was selected as the “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation in Philadelphia by U.S. News & World Report’s publication Best Lawyers in America in 2021. He has secured numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for clients injured or killed by medical malpractice, defective products, motor vehicle accidents, and workplace injuries; including the largest personal injury verdict ever returned by a jury in Delaware County, PA. Tim has been inducted as a Fellow of both the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers, two preeminent trial lawyer organizations whose membership is by invitation and extended only to those who have demonstrated exceptional courtroom skill and the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. Frequently asked to share his insights with other attorneys, Tim has given more than one hundred presentations, lectures and seminars on trial advocacy and civil litigation to lawyers and judges. He has testified in Legislative hearings before members of the Pennsylvania House and Senate on issues concerning Pennsylvania medical malpractice laws. He provides the Civil Law Update to trial judges from across the Commonwealth at the Pennsylvania State Conference of Trial Judges. He serves as editor/reviewer of two textbooks on Pennsylvania Civil Trial Practice and is one of the three Editors of the Civil Practice Manual for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. He has served as President of both the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Outside of the office, Tim is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Dave Palmer Memorial Foundation, a tax-exempt public charity he founded in 1992 after the passing of a dear friend. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided more than a half million dollars of financial assistance to children in the Delaware Valley who have lost a parent to an untimely death. Tim is also a member of the Board of Directors of Frankie’s World Foundation, a non-profit daycare provider for children with medical needs in North Philadelphia. In recognition of his professional accomplishments and commitment to his community, Tim was inducted into the Bishop McDevitt High School Alumni Hall of Fame in 2008.
