Timothy M. Ramsey is a trial attorney at Tremont Sheldon P.C. in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he represents individuals and families in Medical Malpractice Law - Plaintiffs and Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs matters. Raised in Southbury, Connecticut, Timothy attended Pomperaug High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team and spent weekends snowboarding at Mohawk Mountain. Inspired by his parents, both retired teachers, he developed an early appreciation for education, hard work, and community involvement. While attending college, Timothy worked as a file clerk at Tremont Sheldon P.C., an experience that sparked his interest in the legal profession and the court system.
Timothy graduated summa cum laude from Suffolk University with dual majors in Political Science and Philosophy before earning his law degree from Boston College Law School in 2013. During law school, he served as a student prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where he handled various aspects of criminal cases, including motion practice and trial preparation. This experience strengthened his commitment to advocating for victims and individuals navigating difficult circumstances.
He also worked in the Trial and Administrative Law Divisions of the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General as a legal intern, assisting with personal injury claims brought against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These experiences helped shape his career as a civil litigator representing victims of negligence and survivors of sexual abuse.
After graduating from law school, Timothy returned to Tremont Sheldon P.C. in 2013 and became a partner in 2021. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation involving motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, negligence claims, and sexual abuse cases. He is dedicated to helping clients pursue accountability and financial recovery after serious injuries and life-changing events.
Timothy is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA), where he serves on the Board of Governors and as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee. The CTLA is a nonprofit professional organization focused on protecting individual rights within the justice system and supporting access to justice throughout Connecticut. Timothy has also participated in several CTLA community outreach initiatives and previously played on the organization’s softball team.
