Biography

Timothy J. Calica is an associate in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He works with corporate clients in assessing visa eligibility, developing strategies, and implementing creative solutions that allow their foreign national employee population to obtain wok authorization within the United States.

Timothy has experience in the preparation and filing of both nonimmigrant (including B, E, H, J, L, O, and TN) and immigrant (including PERM applications, outstanding researcher cases, and multinational executive cases) visa petitions on behalf of client companies of varying sizes and industries. His experience also includes preparing Adjustment of Status Applications, Naturalization Applications, responses to complex Requests for Evidence, responses to Notices of Intent to Deny / Revoke, and Motions to Reopen and Reconsider. Timothy also has experience with LCA audits and I-9 compliance review.

Coming from a family of immigrants, Timothy became interested in immigration law after observing the complexities associated with the process. This interest led to Timothy’s involvement in the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic while in law school, which gave him the opportunity to provide humanitarian visa assistance to vulnerable immigrant populations.

While in law school, Timothy also served as chief note and comment editor of Loyola’s International and Comparative Law Review.
