Tim Sharkey is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Corporate Transactions practice group and a member of the Private Equity team. Tim focuses his practice on a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, and securities offerings.

My focus

I handle a full range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and financings, as well as general corporate matters such as entity formation, initial governance, and stock and option considerations. I counsel public and private companies on corporate and business law matters, focusing on providing strategically drafted agreements, organizational documents, and resolutions. Working with companies in a variety of industries, I assist clients by providing early risk detection and due diligence in middle- and upper-market M&A transactions. I regularly represent emerging and growth-stage companies throughout the life cycle of the business, including capital raises and liquidity events.

Looking ahead

I see continued strategic activity, particularly in the middle-market space, as financial sponsors and global companies seek to remain active and competitive in a market environment that remains robust in the face of macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties.
