Tim Pavlov

Tim Pavlov is a Senior Associate in the Financial Products and Services Group. He specializes in corporate insurance, as well as transactional and regulatory matters, assisting public and private sector clients in the property and casualty, life, and reinsurance sectors of the insurance industry. Tim regularly advises on all aspects of corporate, transactional and regulatory law, whether federal or provincial, and serves as counsel to a broad range of clients, including insurers and foreign insurers, reinsurers, banks, and insurance intermediaries, across all aspects of their operations. This includes advising on the formation of insurers, obtaining federal and provincial regulatory approvals, governance matters, market conduct and compliance requirements. Tim's work often involves drafting and negotiating reinsurance, distribution and other specialized agreements specific to the sector, developing policy wordings, and providing guidance on reinsurance and self-insured, risk retention and captive strategies.
