Tim Mavko

Tim Mavko is Senior Counsel at Reynolds Mirth, where he focuses on commercial dispute resolution and construction law. A Fellow of both the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and the Construction Law Society of America, Tim is regularly recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada and Lexpert for his expertise and excellence.

With decades of experience in commercial litigation, Tim delivers incisive advice on the strategy and tactics needed to successfully resolve commercial disputes. He guides clients through court litigation, private arbitration, and mediation, focusing on practical solutions that align with their greater business objectives.

Tim provides comprehensive and thoughtful counsel across all phases of construction projects. His deep expertise includes contract negotiation and drafting, procurement strategy, change order management, delay claims, construction liens, public works projects, insurance and bonding, and dispute resolution.

Tim has taught Construction Law at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law since 2007. He is an Instructor and Team Leader for the Legal Education Society of Alberta’s renowned Intensive Advocacy course and co-chairs the very popular Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law program.
