Tim Hutchinson earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Harding University and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney, where he handled a wide range of felony cases, including homicide, sexual assault, and serious drug offenses.

In 2002, Tim transitioned into private practice, focusing on representing small businesses across multiple areas of law. That same year, he was recognized by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 honoree and was invited to teach Business and Employment Law as an adjunct professor in John Brown University’s Advance Program.

Tim was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 2004 and served on the House Judiciary Committee. In 2008, he was appointed as one of three election commissioners for Benton County, Arkansas. He has also served as city attorney for several municipalities throughout Northwest Arkansas.

In 2011, Tim was retained to serve as legal counsel for the Arkansas Secretary of State during the legislative redistricting process. He joined RMP LLP in 2012 as a partner. Based in Springdale, Arkansas, Tim’s practice includes commercial litigation, employment and labor matters, and representation of individuals and businesses before state agencies. His experience includes representing both large national companies and closely held businesses.

In 2016, the Arkansas Supreme Court appointed Tim to its Committee on Professional Conduct. Outside of his legal practice, Tim has been married to his wife Julie for nearly 25 years.
