Thomas J. Pontikis is a partner with Lipe Lyons Murphy Nahrstadt & Pontikis Ltd. in Chicago, Illinois. With more than 26 years of jury trial experience, Mr. Pontikis represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. His experience includes defending matters for companies across a broad range of industries, including automotive manufacturing, industrial products, pest control services, media and entertainment, and insurance. His representative clients have included Ford Motor Company, General Electric Company, Terminix, Viacom/CBS, and Zurich Insurance Company.

Mr. Pontikis has substantial experience handling complex product liability and mass and toxic tort matters, including asbestos, breast implant, and welding rod litigation. He has represented General Electric in both breast implant and welding rod litigation in multiple state and federal jurisdictions.

In addition to litigation, Mr. Pontikis regularly advises business enterprises on general corporate transactions, risk management considerations, and the resolution of internal disputes.

His commercial litigation experience includes matters involving breach of contract claims, corporate governance disputes, and corporate dissolutions.

Mr. Pontikis has also handled licensing and regulatory issues before the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois. He frequently represents clients in matters before the Illinois Department of Public Health involving pesticide exposure and petroleum contamination, works with state agencies to resolve issues prior to litigation, and represents clients in administrative hearings.
