Thomas Giannotti

Tom Giannotti represents individuals and families in personal injury litigation and wrongful death matters throughout Georgia. Based in Atlanta and practicing with Butler Kahn, Tom is committed to helping clients pursue compensation after serious injuries caused by negligence. He has secured significant verdicts and settlements for clients through negotiation, litigation, and trial work in Georgia state and federal courts.

Before focusing his practice on personal injury litigation for plaintiffs, Tom represented clients in child custody, divorce, and criminal defense matters. That broad courtroom experience helped shape his practical and strategic approach to advocacy. During his years practicing in southeast Georgia, Tom became known among judges and opposing counsel for his professionalism, preparation, and straightforward approach to resolving disputes.

A former track and cross-country athlete, Tom brings the same discipline and persistence to case preparation that he learned through competition. He approaches every case with attention to detail, whether reviewing extensive records, interviewing witnesses, preparing motions, or getting ready for trial. Tom understands that personal injury and wrongful death cases often require months or years of dedicated work, and he remains focused on helping clients navigate each stage of the legal process.

Tom is a Double Dawg, having earned both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Georgia. While in law school, he tried his first jury trial as a student prosecutor with the Oconee County District Attorney’s Office. He is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and a graduate of the organization’s Leadership Education & Advanced Direction (LEAD) Program. Outside the office, Tom volunteers as a mock trial coach at Walton High School.
