Thomas Faas studied law at the Rhine Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn from 1996 to 2001. After his legal clerkship with stations at, among others, the Regional Labor Court in Cologne and the State Office for Occupational Health and Safety in Cologne, he started working as an attorney in the labor law department of a major international law firm in Cologne in 2005. In 2007, he joined another global law firm at its Düsseldorf office, where he has been a Local Partner since 2010. Thomas Faas joined Küttner in October 2014.

Thomas Faas advises, counsels, and represents national and international companies, as well as executives and officers in all individual and collective employment law matters. He has longstanding experience and extensive employment law expertise in transactions (asset deals, share deals) as well as complex employment law restructurings (outsourcings, staff reductions). He also advises in the field of employee data protection. Thomas Faas also advises, counsels and represents companies and executives in the negotiation of contractual arrangements (employment agreements, bonus agreements, termination agreements) and in connection with compliance and internal investigations. Thomas Faas also has particular expertise in insolvency-related employment law. Thomas Faas is the author of diverse publications on current employment law topics and is a lecturer at employment law lecture series.
